SESCAL/AMERICAS 08 is
an APS World Series of Philately exhibition
held under the Auspices of FIAF and
with Recognition by the FIP
(Fédération Internationale de Philatélie).
There are 600 frames of exhibits at this Continental Exhibition
which is the first to be held in the United States.
The Prospectus/Regulations (IREX) for the
philatelic exhibition are available here for your information.
The entry deadline was July 11, 2008.
The 2008 Grand Prix of the Exhibition winner is eligible to compete
in the APS Champion of Champions exhibition
at Stampshow 2009, August 6-9 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
The Awards Palmares Banquet is Saturday, October 11, 2008.
This year's SESCAL/AMERICAS 08 honors the
40th Anniversary of the Federación
Interamericana de
Filatelia
and hosts the
Annual Assembly of FIAF.
It also hosts the National Conventions
of
the China
Stamp Society and of
MEPSI, the Mexico
Elmhurst
Philatelic Society International.
Several specialty societies are also holding meetings.
"Celebrating Philately in the Americas" is the theme of this year's
Stamp Exhibition of Southern California.
