Show Cachet and Cancel for Theme
25th Anniversary of the 1984 LA Olympics.
There is a special postmark for SESCAL 2009. SESCAL will be hosting the 9th International Convention of Sports Philatelists International. The exhibition's theme: honoring the 25th Anniversary of the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games. A special postmark has been created which will be available all three days of the show. The central feature of the design ("LA84" over the Roman numeral "XXV") is the official logo of the 25th Anniversary committee and is used with their permission. The simulated 3-D killer bars are adapted from the series of event postmarks designed for the 1984 Olympic Games.
The postmarks may be requested by mail by writing:

Requests should specify the date of the cancellation desired.
The cachet has been designed by noted cachet artist, Bernard Goldberg. A sample of the cacheted envelope can be seen above.
Cacheted envelopes will cost $2.00 each or $5.00 for a set cancelled on all 3 days of the show.
